TR Council Leadership Changes

Following the Council’s Annual Meeting held on Tuesday 14 May 2019, a new Leader of the Council has been appointed.

Changes have also been made to the composition of the Cabinet, and a new Mayor of Broxbourne has been elected.

At the meeting, the Council appointed Councillor Steve Wortley as Mayor of Broxbourne. The new Deputy Mayor is Councillor David Taylor.

The new Leader of the Council is Councillor Lewis Cocking, replacing Councillor Mark Mills-Bishop. Councillor David Holliday is the new Deputy Leader.

The Leader of the Council has selected four other members to form the Cabinet, as follows;

  • Councillor Paul Mason, Cabinet Member for Finance and Business Services
  • Councillor Siobhan Monaghan, Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Services
  • Councillor Keith Brown, Cabinet Member for Planning and Regeneration
  • Councillor David Holliday, Cabinet Member for Environment.

Councillor Giles Hall was appointed Chairman of the Scrutiny Committee, Councillor Tony Siracusa remains as Chairman of the Planning and Regulatory Committee, and Councillor Mike Iszatt remains Chairman of the Audit and Standards Committee.
