LG Get out and about this May half term

Come to Memorial Park Fleetwood and try your hand at circus skills on Saturday 25 May from 1pm-4pm. There'll be lots of fun equipment and you can learn to use unicycles, stilts, balance boards and beam, diabolos, plates, flower sticks, juggling sticks and a tight-wire! This is a free event for ages 2 years upwards.

Also at Memorial Park is the Xplorer challenge – a perfect outdoor activity for families. Children will enjoy using a simple map to complete the navigational challenge. This is taking place on Sunday 26 May from 11am-2pm and costs 50p per child.

Or why not take a trip to the coast and join the Lancashire Wildlife Trust Marine and Community team for an exploration of the beach in search of egg cases on the strandline. This free event is taking place at Rossall Beach on Tuesday 28 May from 10am-11.30am. Waterproof footwear advised. Meet at Rossall Beach, North Promenade off Thornton Gate.

There’s many more exciting events coming up this year including a chance to discover the wonderful world of creepy crawlies on Wednesday 29 May at Wyre Estuary Country Park from 10-11am and costs £2.50 per child.

Don’t miss Splodge-a-matic at Memorial Park on Friday 31 May from 12-3pm. Join the Spin Doctor and his amazing Cyclo-Graphic Splodge-A-Matic spin painting machine to create wacky paintings. This is a free event for ages 2 years upwards.

To take a chance to sit back and relax visit the outdoor cinema at Memorial Park on Saturday 29 June. During the day there will be three films including a cartoon, a classic and a smash hit film. Bring a picnic, a blanket and even your camping chairs and come and enjoy this unique and exciting experience for all the family. There will be vendors on site for you to buy food and refreshments and the Friends of Memorial Park will be fund raising for new play equipment.

Come see Marsh Mill Windmill, a Grade II* listed Tower Windmill, one of the best in the UK with working machinery. It offers a unique introduction to milling of a bygone age. Enjoy a guided tour. Varied exhibitions and kiddies crafting during May Bank Holiday weekend and every weekend until the last weekend of October 2019. The mill is set in the centre of Marsh Mill Village with shops, restaurants and tearooms to enjoy.
